MERRELL BRINGS YOU THE 2013 TSITSIKAMMA MTB CHALLENGE

Situated halfway between Jeffrey’s Bay and Plettenberg Bay lies the jewel of the Eastern Cape. Tsitsikamma, meaning “Place of many waters”, is a green wonderland of indigenous forests and breathtaking mountains, lined with the rugged and untouched coastline of the Indian Ocean. With a rich history of forest workers and wood merchants dating back to the 19th Century, Tsitsikamma offers not only beauty, but a wonderful secretive aura to anyone who wanders through its forests and hiking trails. It is here where a couple of adventurous individuals came together with an idea, which later grew into an adventurous plan for an extreme Mountain Bike Challenge.

The Tsitsikamma Mountain Bike Challenge will run through one of the most scenic routes for Mountain Bike races you can find anywhere in South Africa. The event not only offers the cyclists a test of skill, but also breathtaking views of a crystal blue sea from the rugged cliffs high above the raging white water.

WHERE AND WHEN IS THIS RACE HELD? HOW DO I ENTER?

At the foothills of the Tsitsikamma Mountain Range lies Witelsbos. It is here at Tsitsikamma Falls Adventure where the 2013 MERRELL Tsitsikamma Mountain Bike Challenge will take place on Saturday 13th April.
